A BeautifulDorset Wedding Venue
There’s something special about a countryside wedding venue that already has character before any decorations are added, and Kingston Country Courtyard certainly has plenty of it.
Set among beautiful local stone buildings, the venue has a relaxed rustic feel, with plenty of charm both inside and out. We had the pleasure of being part of Payton and Luke’s wedding here in August, bringing along our photo booth, flower wall and attended guest book experience.
Two Outdoor Spaces to Enjoy
One of the things we really liked about Kingston Country Courtyardwas the choice of outdoor spaces.
Guests had access to both a garden area and the main courtyard, giving everyone somewhere to relax, chat and enjoy the Dorset countryside throughout the day. The courtyard had outdoor tables and seating, with a fire pit available if required, while the garden offered a quieter, greener space surrounded by mature trees and planting.
The Main Wedding Room
The main event room may be intimate in size, but it was beautifully presented for Payton and Luke’s wedding.
The local stone walls, exposed timber beams, flowing white drapes and warm fairy lights created a really welcoming atmosphere. It felt rustic, elegant and completely in keeping with the character of the venue.
Our Photo Booth Setup
We were given a great space in the bar area just off the main event room, with plenty of room for our photo booth, flower wall, props and guest book station.
The location worked really well because guests could easily move between the main celebration and the booth without feeling disconnected from the wedding.
Pairing the white flower wall with the rustic stone and timber surroundings gave the setup a really clean, elegant look, while still keeping the fun side of the booth front and centre.
The Photo Booth Comes to Life
Once the evening got going, the booth quickly became a busy part of the celebrations.
The flower wall gave us a clean, elegant backdrop, while the props brought out the fun side of the guests. It was exactly what we like to see — people relaxing, laughing and creating photographs that feel completely different from the formal parts of the wedding day.
A Guest Book Full of Memories
Alongside the photo booth, we also provided our attended guest book service.
An extra copy of each photo was added to the book, giving guests the chance to leave their own handwritten messages for Payton and Luke. By the end of the evening, the couple had a brilliant collection of photographs and personal messages to take away with them.
A Venue Full of Character
Kingston Country Courtyard has a really distinctive feel, with its local stone buildings, traditional courtyard and relaxed countryside setting.
We were also impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff were throughout the day. Everything felt well organised, and we were given the space we needed to set up properly without being tucked away from the celebrations.
A Dorset Wedding Venue We’d Happily Return To
Kingston Country Courtyard gave Payton and Luke a relaxed, character-filled setting for their wedding day, with beautiful stone buildings, two lovely outdoor spaces and an intimate main reception room.
From our side, the venue worked really well for the photo booth and guest book experience, and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout.
A lovely Dorset wedding venue, and one we’d be very happy to return to.
